Amazingly comfortable August 25, 2010 Liz (Knoxville, TN) I received these shoes as a nursing graduation gift in May and I will never buy anything else again! My feet use to hurt all the time when I was at work. Now that I have these Dansko there's no more hurting. It is best to purchase them just a little bit bigger than what you normally get because (as I was told by a Dansko salesperson)it leaves room for the air to flow through the shoe and thus keep your feet from getting sweaty and hot. I am actually getting ready to purchase my second pair of Dansko, just in a different color.
another great Dansko May 25, 2010 drosophila (Boston, MA United States) I own several Danskos and I am a big fan of their clogs. I have the black one and I am very pleased with it. First of all, it is very comfortable. I walk to/from work and I am on my feet most of the day. My feet feel great in these shoes and at the end of the day there is no pain. It is also a very good looking clog. You can pair them with black pants and wear for many occasions. I got several complements about how good looking they are, which is a bonus with comfortable shoes. Some Dansko styles have size issues but this clog is true to its size. My US shoe size is 6 and I have a 36 of these clogs and it is a perfect fit.
Dansko March 24, 2010 Sarah Sundae (Philly, Pa USA) These are a present for my mom, it's her first year as an RN. I've had Danskos in other styles and I love them. I never realized how much my back hurt until I put them on! It does take at least a month to break in these clogs, I suggest bringing an alternate pair of shoes until they are worn in. You also should buy a half size to a size larger than what you are for a comfy fit. These shoes last for years and are totally worth it!
Nice looking shoe toooo big! RN with 4 pair Dansko's. March 7, 2010 Rashel M. Brandon (Watsonville, CA) I love the look of these shoes. However, I tried them on before I ordered at a store them and the normal size 42 that I wear (in the 4 pair of oiled leather) I already own, they were huge (when I kicked my foot they flew off), had to down a size to 41, they did get scuffed really easily, and it does take a few days to get used to them and "mold them to your own feet, but all in all a good shoe. I personally love the oiled leather ones I have. The size thing was kind of weird though. The lady at the store where I tried them on said that they are all hand made and can be a little different in fit, but you shouldn't be able to kick your normal size off your foot. I did some investigating about this and found out that Dansko and Sanita basically broke off their relationship in 2008 and Sanita the original company that started making this clog in 1907ish makes the same clogs that I originally bought before 2008 and that Dansko was the US company making them here for Sanita. Dansko has "redesigned" their clog it in a bit wider and has more of a curved heel, they call them innovation's. Long story short there is more info @ [...] look under Dansko Vs. Sanita. If you want the original Stapled clog made before 2008, buy the Sanita. If you want to try the newly innovated clog buy the Dansko. The only difference I can see is that you would probably have to go down a size in the shoe (to avoid kicking them off or sliding right out of them:)
Dansko brown-tooled February 26, 2010 Ohio floor RN (Ohio) I originally went to a shoe store to purchase this. They checked my foot and told me that I wear a size 42 in Dansko, but they didn't have the style in the size I wanted and couldn't order it for me. I ordered online from a great site, but when the item came they were HUGE and I was walking out of them. I returned them (without any problems at all) and reordered the size 41 instead. When they came I was so thrilled, but the thrill wore off pretty quickly. You need to break them in by wearing them a few hours for the first few days, and progress up to the entire shift, which I didn't do (didn't know about it for a couple of weeks). My feet would hurt so bad I wanted to chuck them out the car window on my way home! The only thing that kept me from doing this was that I spent a fortune on them! Even after 2 1/2 months of wearing them the bottoms of my feet still burn like fire after about 6 hours of wearing them. As a floor nurse I'm on my feet for up to 12 hours per shift. The bottom line is that I'm really disappointed with the Dansko, I call them my "torture chambers", although I work with a lot of other nurses that use them and love them. So they must work for some, just not all. It may be just this pair, but at $100+ per pair I certainly won't be trying another pair!
