Rocket Dog Shoes at Austin Music Festival

Rocket Dog girls were out in force at March’s South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. RD partnered with some incredible bands, DJs and clubs for three off-the-hook parties.

We snapped a ton of photos and gave away goodies galore.

At the Dim Mak label showcase at the Beauty Bar (and Sansa Playground), we shook our stuff to the insane grooves of DJs Steve Aoki, Masterkraft and Aaron LaCrate and pressed up close to the stage for Kid Sister (among other bands). During the Roxy party at The Belmont, we got serious girl-crushes on the sassy Lisa D’Amato and Sarah from The Happy Hollows – fortunately, we had a big ol’ table of shoes and other booty to express our feelings.

Then there was the rooftop shindig for iheartcomix, with poolside VIP schmoozing; we met the new wave/dance goddess Santogold, who is not only a total force of nature onstage but also stylin’ and super-sweet. Oh, and we can’t forget Moonrats…Aska Matsumiya’s keyboard performance was off the hook.

We had such an amazing time that we had to keep remind ourselves we were “working” – which (along with taking pictures and chatting with a ton of really cool people) mainly entailed handing out RD shoes, Rocketdoodle tank tops and other swag.
